OPEN CONTEST 02 - NOV 2012

Dear All,

Here, i am placing a question, which is open for all to answer and win a prize of INR 1100/-.

1. "Legendary traders like George Soros, Jim Rogers, John Burbank are known to plan trades in such a way that even if they are wrong about the trade, they still make money". 

2. Even after earning negative pips for the trade few traders make money.

Explain the above two possibilities with an example for each case. Trades unfolding in the future would be given more valuation.

Please Note:

1. Only the best attempt will win the prize. Mail your analysis to uttamsmethodofselling@gmail.com.

2. Prize money would be transferred through online NEFT transfer to winner's account.

3. Anybody can participate in the contest i.e., mentees (present or past), GIC subscribers or any visitor to the blog.

4. I will wait for the best attempt till 31st Dec. 2012.

5. Winning analysis would be posted in the blog itself before 10th Jan. 2013.

WINNER of Open Contest 01 - Oct.2012

Dear All,

Though the kind of analysis I was expecting for this open contest has still not been submitted by anyone, but the best analysis is posted below which wins INR 1000/-. Winner’s name  is :

RAJIV RANJAN, Panchkula, Haryana.

A. Although few more entries were good efforts but this entry was the most eligible for the prize due to the following.

Merits:

1. Approach - Use of spot chart and futures chart for assessing/confirming the situation.

2. Relevant BSL turned BRL has been picked correctly with most suitable TL points.

3. No wrong TLs used in the analysis.

4. Use of only historical data, i.e., NIFTY data before 5629.95 occurred, for the analysis.

Demerits:

1. Proper technical term has not been mentioned in the chart for the price action.

2. BSL-Turned-BRL requires more fine-tuning.

3. Suggested trade is irrelevant to the discussion.

4. Micro-analysis is simply absent.

B. My analysis for the contest question will be shared with my mentees only.

C. Prize money has been scheduled for transfer to the winner’s account on 13th Nov. 2012.

New contest question would appear within a week here in the blog itself.

1. I am yet to receive the kind of analysis i am expecting from you all. Last date for submission is 10th Nov. 2012. So, you are advised to give it a fresh try and submit the same.

2. I am not considering entries by two of my pass-out mentees for the prize money.
